Here something that can work. Take screen from a regular screen door. It typically has 1-2 mm squares in a grid. Cut out a piece and put it on your nozzle (preferably from a screen that's no longer in use). The blast will get divided into about 6-10 different streams with a soaking area roughly 8 feet wide at 15 feet.
