Description:
The 1999 "New and Improved" version of the original SS100 is supposedly
sturdier than its original counterpart, yet still feels rather fragile.
The amount of water carried by the SS100 is respectable and its water
use to capacity ratio is low due to the original-sized nozzle. The SS100
is also based on the separate air-pressure chamber allowing one to make
full use of the water reservoir. However, the pump volume is quite small.
The barrel of the SS100 is very long, but does not feel as if it were
securely attached, making it definitely not a blaster one wants to fall
on or drop. The SS100 also keeps firing a few moments after releasing
the trigger, wasting some valuable ammunition. Pros: Light for its size, easy to carry. Rate of fire-to-water supply ratio quite good and can last a fairly long time (though water yield is low). This is one of the weapons which helped change water war forever. Cons: Fragile, has a tendency to leak, especially if the O-ring is damaged or loose. Nozzle size is significantly smaller than the newer weapons and range is more limited. The pumping mechanism is also somewhat fragile. (Don't force it to hard or it will break.)
