Description: The largest of the Super Charger
(tm) weapons, this weapon is classified still only classified as a medium
field gun even though it comes with a backpack. Unlike the other SC-class
weapons, the SC Power Pak needs its hose-attachment filling stand for filling.
It is a quick and easy way to fill but if a hose is not always available,
this weapon is useless. (It's main drawback.)
The SC Power Pak really seems to be three CPS-type water reservoirs
mounted within a backpack and attached to a hose and gun for aiming. It
has 4 weapon settings: a 3x setting (about the same as an XP nozzle), 10x
setting, sweep (fan spray of water) and saturator (a shower head). This
weapon is only categorized as a medium field gun since its largest nozzle
is rated at 10x. The 3x setting is great for conserving water while 10x
gives one's enemies a good blasting. The sweep has some potential use for
blinding or area cover. The saturator is only useful when up-close and
personal with the enemy since its range is very limited, but its output
quite high. (The saturator is also good for gardening with *smirk*)
No pumping is nice meaning the weapon can be used singlehandedly,
but without a filling station can leave one defenseless. Always carry a
backup weapon when using the SC Power Pak.
The backpack itself seems quite sturdy and can be comfortable even
when running. Just try not to fall on it. It's only plastic. The small
gun at the end of the hose actually gives a little kickback when firing
since its so light. This weapon is useful for base defense and even longer-distance
missions, but when travelling far from a SC-filling station, definitely
carry a sidearm.
Pros: Heavy hitting, no pumping, quick firing
weapon that is easy to carry. It packs good power and does not take too
long to refill at the appropriate SC-filling station. By being just a big
pressure tank, the Power Pak can continually fire while others must pump.
Cons: No pumping comes at a price in that this
weapon MUST be filled at a SC-filling station. No hose and hose adapter,
no water. Only two of the four nozzles are useful for true combat. Also,
one should be careful with the hose, gun and adapter. Any break in the
seals will result in water spraying out continuously until the backpack
is empty.
