Description:
The SC Power Pak is largest of the Super Charger (tm) backpack blasters,
but requires a QFD for filling. If a hose is not available, the SC Power
Pak becomes useless. The SC Power Pak relies on its three CPS-type water
reservoirs mounted within its backpack as both its reservoir and pressure
chamber. The hand-held part has 4 weapon settings: a 3x setting (about
the same as an XP nozzle), 10x setting, sweep (fan spray of water) and
saturator (a shower head). This weapon is only categorized as a medium
field gun since its largest nozzle is rated at 10x. The 3x setting is
great for conserving water while 10x gives one's enemies a good soaking.
The sweep has some potential use for blinding or area cover. The saturator
is only useful when up-close and personal with the enemy since its range
is very limited. The backpack feels sturdy and is comfortable even when
running. The small blaster at the end of the hose actually gives a little
kickback when firing since its so light. Pros: Heavy hitting, no pumping, mid-weight, quick firing weapon that is easy to carry. It packs good power and does not take too long to refill at the appropriate SC-filling station. By being just a big pressure tank, the Power Pak can continually fire while others must pump. Cons: No pumping comes at a price in that this weapon MUST be filled at a SC-filling station. No hose and hose adapter, no water. Only two of the four nozzles are useful for true combat. Also, one should be careful with the hose, blaster and adapter. Any break in the seals will result in water spraying out continuously until the blaster is empty.

Reviews: I like this Supersoaker alot. I like its power, variety of nozzles, long shot time, and short refill time(18 seconds with a good hose). Howveer, one thing makes this unpopular to accomplished water warriors: The ONLY way it can be filled is through the QFD. This also means no pumping, but one cannot venture far away from a Refill Station. There is one way to overcome this. You can carry a piece of hose with the tap attachment on one end and the QFD on the other. If you find a tap, you can open itand refill, but it is a bugger to carry and sometimes can be hard to attach to some taps. The Power Pak has 4 nozzles: 3x, 10x, sweep and Saturator. 3x can last for a full minute so you can basically run around shooting whatever you want. Everyone else will be trying to fill and pump their blasters while you standing there half empty giving them an involuntary cool down.10x has excellent accuracy and decent range. Although you empty the tank quite quickly, they would have long retreated before you run out of water. Saturator is actually quite useful and very intimidating. It is good to come around the corner from nowhere and fire this for about 2 seconds. Everything will be wet (any less than 2 seconds and the soaking is patchy). Sweep is absolutely useless and I do not use it. The pak is comforable and the gun is easy to aim and tuck into a pocket, wearing 2 of these (one on back, one on front) would be more effective than 2xCPS 3200/3000 because you don't have to pump. Imagine it... (Posted on 2000/12/23)
