Offense:
Individual
This section will
look at various techniques for the individual to use when attempting to
soak worthy targets. The following techniques are intended for use by
an individual to dispense as much water on their foes as possible during
heated water battles. However, while most of the following ideas are also
applicable to group offensives, there are some differences which should
be noted. Those differences will be discussed in more detail in the Group
Offense section.
GENERAL TIPS
- prior
to combat situations, practice aiming and soaking while moving.
A moving target is much more difficult to hit than one standing
still. However, it is also harder to properly target while moving.
The best way to overcome the movement problem is through practice.
- know
your water blaster. Every water blaster has its own unique
personality, even if it is the same model type as another person's.
Know your own blasters that you use so that you have an intuitive
sense of how they perform under different combat situations.
- know
your water level. One cannot attack if one is out of water.
When running low, it is a good idea to look for a filling station
before being caught defenseless.
- look
for cover. Surprise attacks can allow one to readily drench
one or a few foes before they have a chance to return fire.
- carry
a sidearm (if possible).
Just in case one runs out of ammo and there are still enemies
between one's location and a safe filling station.
- know
the surroundings.
It helps to know the battlefield a bit before engaging the enemy.
If this is not possible, do scouting runs before any serious engagement
with hostile forces.
- firing
at a 45 degree angle. Firing
at a 45-degree angle upwards gives the most distance but not always
the most accuracy (especially if its windy).
