Description: The CPS 1500 is the second smallest
weapon found in the CPS line of weapons. It is slightly larger than the
CPS 1000 and has two nozzle settings. One nozzle is rated at 5x (i.e. 5x
the punch of an XP's nozzle) and the other is rated at 10x. The advantage
of having two nozzle settings allows one to drench your foes more quickly
using the 10x setting or conserve water when running low with the 5x setting.
Due to the type of plastic used to make the tank, it is not too difficult
to determine when one is running low on water. However, as with the CPS
1000, the main problem is that firing that amount of water each time can
quickly drain your tank, leaving you defenseless.
All in all, the CPS 1500 makes a great medium field gun, perfect
for smaller enemy engagements. The CPS 1500 can basically outclass any
XP or XXP weapon in terms of firepower. Due to its two nozzle settings,
one can also hold up in a larger skirmish, but should be wary if engaging
another using one of the higher rated CPS models. Its size-to-weight-to-power
ratio also makes it my favourite general purpose weapon (I now own 2 of
these just because...)
Note for 1999: There appears to be two versions of the CPS 1500:
the original and the 1999 model. The original has the CPS 1500 sticker
on the left side of the water tank while the 1999 model (at the least the
one I have) has it on the right side. Aesthetics aside, the 1999 model
also has a valve such that the pressure chamber cannot be loaded with air
while appearing to shoot a little farther (a couple of feet or so) than
the original model.
Pros: Small, light, easy to carry especially
thanks to its shoulder strap. Despite its size, it packs good power and
stream size. It also does not take too much effort to pump up the firing
chamber. The two nozzle settings also allows one to be a little more thrifty
with one's water usage or more sadistic with drenching your foes.
Cons: Like the CPS 1000, this weapon can quickly
drain is resources if the user is too trigger-happy. One should also take
care not to run or fall with the pumping mechanism extended as this appears
to be the most fragile part of this otherwise well-built gun. The pump
may break if not treated with proper respect.
