Description: The CPS 2000 is the largest single-piece
weapon found in the CPS line of weapons equalled in size, but not mass,
with the CPS 2500. It is arguably the most powerful Super Soaker(tm) to
date. Unfortunately, it is also no longer available in store so if one
happens to see it in some backroom shelves, BUY IT! The size of this
weapon definitely adds to its intimidation factor. In addition, if produces
a thick, powerful stream of water from its single apeture. Being Larami's
first available model in the CPS line, this weapon can still outclass any
other Super Soaker(tm) and is perhaps only rivalled in drenching power
by the CPS 3000.
The amount of water which can be unleashed from this behemoth makes
its reservoir tank size almost unreasonable. The rate at which it fires
makes it possible at best to get 5 short bursts (usually only 4) before
emptying the firing chamber. Definitely pre-load the firing chamber and
fill the tank to get the most number of shots from this weapon.
All in all, the CPS 2000 makes an awesome heavy cannon, perfect for
larger enemy engagements. Due to its rate of fire, it is unwise to head
onto the field with this weapon alone as one will quickly find oneself
out of water with this beast. One should also remember that though one
is using the heaviest-hitting Super Soaker(tm), if you're alone in the
field, you can still be out-gunned by four XP'ers from four different directions.
It also does take a bit of time to charge up the firing chamber but less
than a blink to empty it.
Pros: A powerful, thick and sadistic water stream,
capable of thoroughly soaking your opponent down to his/her undergarments
in seconds. Its sheer size and water stream usually makes others take a
second thought before attempting to engage the user of this weapon. Unlike
the lower-rated CPS models, the pumping mechanism is mounted underneath
the barrel, making it quite sturdy and resistant to damage. However, do
remember that this stuff is only plastic.
Cons: Heavy. Let me rephrase that. Really heavy!
This things weighs a good deal when fully loaded. The shoulder strap helps,
but one may consider working-out before trying to run with this thing.
It also take many pumps (20-25) to load the firing chamber, but only a
couple of blinks to empty it. The single choice of nozzle means one cannot
choose a lower setting to conserve ammo when the reservoir is running low
on water. As such, carry a side-arm (i.e. a CPS 1000 slung over the other
shoulder) when on the field. One minor down point is that the cap of the
reservoir tank, unlike those of the newer CPS models, does not have the
string+anchor keeping it with the gun. As such, when the cap is off the
gun, ensure to put it in a safe place to not to lose it. Also, put it on
fairly tightly to prevent it from coming off during engagments with the
enemy.
