Behind Schedule, but Catching Up

Normally, by this time of the year, I would have put together the “Best New Water Blaster / Water Gun” article, but due to various reasons including a rather busy work schedule, hectic life, and various other distractions, I’ve fell a touch behind this year. Fear not; though the choice for this year may be obvious to some, the official article is coming soon.

I also have some fun other developments planned for 2015. Hopefully, they turn out well, but only time will tell.

Recommended Nerf Super Soaker 2015 Reviews?

Of the latest 2015 Nerf Super Soaker water blaster models, are there any of these that have yet to be fully reviewed that you would like iSoaker.com to take a deeper dive into?

I am open to potentially reviewing one or two more of these items depending on interest. I’ll make my decision on May 4th – post your thoughts and/or suggestions by then.

Thanks and soak on!

Roads ahead – Water Warriors water blaster developments

With the release of the Water Warriors Waterlord in Walmart, Canada, we are at the re-birth of seeing elastic-based water blasters returning to the consumer market. Buzz Bee Toys Inc’s decision to try for a Canadian release first was likely due to multiple reasons: date of expiration of the patent for which they had previous accepted an injunction,  start of the season being later in Canada than in the US and/or other countries, and the ability to work with specific retailers to make it happen.

Water Warriors brand Evolution Tree updated for 2015

Recently updated the Water Warriors brand Evolution Tree on iSoaker.com. Looking at how iSoaker.com was built, there are many support pages that need to be manually updated each year as new water guns are added to a particular series. I’ve experimented with some content management systems, but haven’t been satisfied with any (not to mention most end up with so many updates and steep server requirements, it gets costly (time and money) to keep them running.

I need to figure out a better way, though, to manage the information on my site.

Return of “Hydro Power”

As some have already seen, the review of the Water Warriors Waterlord is now posted on iSoaker.com. The Waterlord is the first rubber diaphragm-based water blaster to be produced by Buzz Bee Toys Inc. since the injunction imposed on them back in 2010. For various reasons, the Waterlord appears as if it will be only available at Walmart Canada in 2015, but with luck, it will appear on shelves in the US for 2016. What is the best new water gun / water blaster for 2015?

As Spring is mostly here, this is usually the time I’d take a look at what new water guns are available, compare the stats I measures from the ones I have, and make a call.

For 2015, the Flood Force brand is a dud, the Nerf Super Soaker brand continues to focus on pump-action water blasters, and the Water Warriors brand seems to have followed Nerf Super Soaker, releasing more pump-action and having only one “new” pump-action-based continuous-stream capable blaster released for 2015, the Steady Blast. The main reason Water Warriors remains ahead overall is that they also continue to have some good performing air pressure water guns available, though these are models released in previous years, thus are not considered as “new” for 2015.

So what’s the best new water gun for 2015?

… what if I were to say the best has yet to come…
