War Stories / Battle Reports being migrated

The War Stories category is now added as a subsection of iSoaker.net. While iSoaker.com focuses on the technology and gear that make water fights and water warfare possible, iSoaker.net shall look more towards the User-side of the equation. Amongst other things, I am presently migrating old Fan Stories, War Stories, and Battle Reports over from iSoaker.com to iSoaker.net. Once the migration is complete, I’ll be re-directing the link on iSoaker.com to the iSoaker.net category. One major advantage for using iSoaker.net to house battle reports and war stories is that iSoaker.net members have the ability to draft and publish their stories through the website. There has been a lull in war stories submissions to iSoaker.com for a variety of reasons, but hope the development of iSoaker.net inspires others to share their water blaster and water warfare experiences!

Water Warriors Equalizer – A Closer Look

water_warriors_equalizer_gridThe Water Warriors Equalizer was released by Buzz Bee Toys Inc. in 2009 and was the smallest of a new layout of Water Warriors-brand water blaster. Its larger brethren are the Water Warriors Renegade and Water Warriors Vindicator. The Equalizer subsequently evolved into the Water Warriors Outlaw (2013) which can still be found on store shelves at the time this article is being written. The Equalizer is also one of my all-time favourite water blasters. Let’s explore why. Continue reading Water Warriors Equalizer – A Closer Look

Water Warriors Drench Master – A Closer Look

water_warriors_drench_master_gridThe Water Warriors Drench Master is a simple, effective pump-action water blaster released by Buzz Bee Toys Inc. in 2015. Following in the footsteps of older Water Warriors pump-action models, the Drench Master brings to the table greater capacity than the 2008 Water Warriors Avenger while still offering a nozzle selector, albeit with only two nozzle settings from which to choose. For this type of water blaster, the Drench Master offers good capacity and performance in a solid package.

100 iSoaker Warriors and counting

iSoaker Warriors (Facebook) now has 100 members. Founded on March 12, 2014, growth has been steady, but increasing more recently. The recent focus on content creation, not just content reshuffling, is something we hope others are finding interesting and informative. Of course, I hope more eventually also enjoy reading our updates and visiting iSoaker.com and iSoaker.net. From the beginning, my goal remains the same: to share my love of water blasters and water warfare with the world and have others enjoy the fun of drenching each other as well.

Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Splatterblast – A Closer Look

nerf_super_soaker_zombie_strike_splatter_blast_gridThe Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Splatterblast is the largest of the Nerf Super Soaker products under the Zombie Strike sub-brand. Like the other Zombie Strike branded products, the Splatterblast has an interesting, rougher look and features a light-up reservoir (requires 3 AAA batteries to operate). With its interesting styling and unique multiple nozzle configuration, it is also currently the only Zombie Strike brand water blaster I have opted to test further at iSoaker.com. On Statistics, Accuracy, and Reviews on iSoaker.com

armoury_aquatechnologyI began reviewing water blasters, primarily Super Soakers, back in 1998 (over 17 years ago) to go with the launching of Aquatechnology. Of course, I never would have guessed then that I’d still be doing reviews 17 years on (but that’s another story). As Aquatechnology grew and I amassed more and more water guns to test, more people started visiting my site. As Aquatechnology evolved into iSoaker.com in 2000, the ways I measured and reported on how particular water blaster models behaved also changed. To think that there are now over 300 reviews on iSoaker.com Continue reading On Statistics, Accuracy, and Reviews on iSoaker.com

Water Warriors Steady Blast – A Closer Look

water_warriors_steady_blast_gridThe Water Warriors Steady Blast was previously the largest of the new Water Warriors brand water blaster released by Buzz Bee Toys Inc. in 2015, that is, until the Water Warriors Waterlord was unveiled in April, 2015. In many ways, the Steady Blast can be considered as the “Big Brother” of the original Water Warriors Steady Stream (2007). The Steady Blast employs the same spring-based water pressure capacitor technology as first seen in the Steady Stream, but has a number of differences beyond styling as well, some useful, others, not so much.
